Since 1919: The American Legion Post 44 has been in continuous service since its founding in 1919.

Field trips to places of interest to those who have served their country in uniform.

Recognizing and honoring our communities first responders with the Jack Williams Award for First Responders.

Sponsor High School Students in The American Legion Oratorical Contest. The American Legion awards thousands of dollars to winners at the State and Na onal Levels.

Sponsor High School Boys to “Boy’s State”.

Recognize our Community’s First Responders each year with the Jack Williams Award for First Responders.

Provide thousands of dollars to veterans needing assistance. The Legion is here to provide support to any veteran and their families.

Working with local schools to foster a spirit of Americanism with educational literature and speakers regarding the Constution of the United States, The Declaration of Independence, and Flag Protocols and Etiquett.

Support local charites that provide aid and assistance to children, especially children of deceased veterans.

Through the lobbying power of The American Legion, promote legisla on in support of veterans benefits and a strong national defense.

We will continue to sponsor and participate in activities that are relevant to our four pillars: Veteran Rehabilitation and Assistance, Americanism, Children and Youth; and a Strong National Defense.
